KLM and Schiphol airport, among others, invest in IoT startup

undagridWell-known Dutch airline KLM along with Schiphol airport, Rabobank, and the Delft University of Technology have invested an undisclosed amount in Internet of Things (IoT)  startup undagrid through the Mainport Innovation Fund (MIF), according to media reports.

A report in tech.eu said undagrid essentially offers a platform to connect devices with each other and the Internet. The company’s technology lets devices form their own self-expanding network, instantly, without any configuration or the need for any type of controller. Crucially, Undagrid claims it can work on a single battery for multiple years.

The complete undagrid solution has a platform to connect devices with each other and the Internet in “a sensible way”. A fully integrated environment of scalable cloud services, application interfaces and an intelligent mesh communication network.
