HPE’s IoT lab takes off

Houston, August 15, 2017: Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) idea of extracting data from every day objects and capitalising on the growing segment known as the Internet of Things (IoT) has taken off.

The year-old Houston lab in northwest Houston, United States – HPE’s first devoted to the field – made its public debut on Monday. The areas of focus are smart cities, where data can be collected to improve traffic flow, security and health care.

Writing on HPE’s official blog, Ron Neyland, Sr. Director Edgeline IoT SW and Solutions, said ne of the key challenges with implementing an IoT solution is figuring out how to bring all of the existing infrastructure and new hardware and software together into a cohesive solution – one that can really address their operational requirements and goals. These solution components often come from multiple vendors and require the expertise and experience to put it all together in order to get started validating the concepts and initiating the journey towards a transforming IoT solution.

Ron added that in this new lab, HPE will be offering an array of hands-on experience zones to explore IoT solutions.
