Internet Of Things Event 2014 is a success, declare organisers

Eindhoven, June 8, 2014: One of the big ticket Internet of Things (IoT) events of the year, the Internet Of Things Event 2014 was held in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, on June 3, 2014.

Attended by a variety of “biggies” working in the digital space, Big Data, IoT and Machine-to-Machine (M2M), the one-day conference had companies like Intel, Philips,  ARM and Creative Innovation Works participating. Workshops by Ericsson, WIBU Systems, Aeternus during the parallel sessions, were also held. This website was the official media partner of the event. This was the third edition of this conference cum exhibition.

The keynote address was given by Elaine Cook, EMEA Strategic Marketing Director for IoT, Intel. In his presentation – If Big Data is the answer, what is the question – Mr Cook spoke of Big Data usage models, adding that the IoT meant that data could be gathered from anything, anywhere, anytime.

SONY DSCAmong the speakers in the first session were Richard Stamvik, Segment Manager, Operator relations, ARM. He spoke of what ARM does, and how it makes processor technology which was at the heart of advances consumer and business products.

Mr Stamvik also spoke on the evolution from M2M to IoT, and on the next era of embedded development.

Among the other speakers were John Koot, Business Development Manager, ICT Automatisering, Tjibbe Renkema, Head of Strategy Consulting, Carat and Rami Avidan, Head, Tele2 M2M Global Solutions.
