One of the biggest challenges before the Internet of Things (IoT) is privacy, the other being security. According to recent research, only 22 percent of Internet users agree that the benefits of smart devices outweigh any privacy concerns.
To discuss and address the privacy of IoT devices, global Data Privacy Management (DPM) company TRUSTe is holding an Internet of Things Privacy Summit on July 10, 2014 in Silicon Valley, USA. According to the company, over 20 expert speakers and more than 200 people from top organisations, universities, law firms, and companies across the privacy and technology ecosystem are expected to attend.
The Summit offers a full day of regulatory insight, best practices, research and debate highlighting the privacy challenges of the IoT.
The delegates at the forum will discuss and define the privacy needs of the new interconnected world and help scope out the next generation of solutions.
