Singtel will launch its nationwide cellular Internet of Things (IoT) network by the end of September.
According to a report in Singapore Business Review Singtel said that this will enable businesses to work more efficiently and reduce costs through the use of low-power IoT devices. The network will support CAT-M1 and NB-IoT technologies. This will allow businesses to use applications with low-power consumption, deep coverage and multiple connections.
The network will also use Singtel’s cyber security measures to implement IoT solutions.
The cellular IoT network can support devices with a minimum of 10 years battery life, which will allow both low-band and mid-band frequencies.
