Speaker line-up for Dubai ioTx is like a veritable who’s-who

IoTx DubaiLuminaries and experts from across the world are scheduled to address sessions and take part in discussions at the ioTx 2015 in Dubai, the Middle East’s first and only conference and exhibition specifically dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT).

Over 4,000 government, industry and technology leaders are likely to discuss, among other things, the process to create smart ecosystems in a world where billions of devices will be connected. IoTx has been structured as an interactive conference and exhibition to improve your learning experience and offer organic networking opportunities.

On day one, June 9, 2015, the welcome address will be by H.E. Ahmad Bin Humaidan, Director General, Dubai Smart Government. The topic is – Transforming A City To Achieve The Ultimate Happiness Vision. This will be followed by a Q & A sessions on – Making Big Ideas Happen To Create Future Cities. This session will be chaired by H.E. Ahmad Bin Byat Chairman, Smart Dubai Executive Committee.

The rest of the day will have sessions on the following topics: Networked Communities; How New Technologies Were Changing the Way We Understand, Design and Ultimately Live in Cities; Innovations That Are Bringing Cities Around the World Online; Linking Your Business in With a City Wide Connected Ecosystem; Dubai And The Internet Of Everything: Opportunity At The Crossroads; Connecting The Next Billion Devices To The Internet – Standards And Protocols; Seven Verticals to Drive Dubai Smart City Initiative to 2020 and Beyond; Progressing with IoE Towards Being the World’s Best Connected, Smartest, and Happiest Cities by 2017, and Connecting The Next Billion Devices To The Internet – Standards And Protocols

On the second day of the ioTx 2015, the sessions will have topics such as – How Technology Becomes Nature – The Seven Steps; When Trillions Of Things Can Be Connected, Which Things Should You Connect; and Creating Smart And Secure Services – An Ongoing Journey Not A One-Time Shot.

One of the unusual features of the ioTx 2015 is what is called as ‘Huddle’. Each huddle will be assigned a facilitator who shall pose questions, synthesise discussions and encourage participation. Each of these sessions shall last 20 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to visit two huddles in the allotted time.

These will include:

  • Security Huddle: Connecting billions of objects’ data through a secure platform Reserved for sponsor
  • Governance Huddle: How do we fund a shared IoT infrastructure? How do we measure success?
  • Technology Huddle: What is the best IoT platform to embrace? What partners do I need to involve?
