Inaugural IoT Asia 2014 conference concludes

Singapore, April 23: The first edition of the Internet of Things (IoT) Asia 2014 conference has just got over, and if the organisers are to be believed, rather successfully.

Inaugurated on April 21, as many as 40 exhibitors from 11 nations took part and set up displays at the two-day conference cum exhibition in Singapore. The line up included international and local exhibitors such as Starhub, A*Star, Cisco and SAP.

IOtasiaimageIoT refers to the transfer of information between objects or people over a network without the requirement for human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

IoT Asia 2014 claims to be positioning itself as the platform in Asia contributing to the transformation of government, businesses and society through the next big thing – IoT adoption in Asia. It was organised by the Singex Group, in partnership with the Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA), in close support with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, along with others.

Established in 1982, the SIAA is a professional trade association that facilitates strategic alliances, building globally competitive business communities through innovative and effective application of industrial automation and M2M (machine-to-machine) technologies.
