SIGFOX and Kerensen tie up expected to speed up adoption of IoT by Salesforce1 community

Paris, Oct. 13, 2014: Operational consulting firm Kerensen Consulting and SIGFOX, a pioneer in economical, energy-efficient Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, have announced a collaboration that will allow companies that use Salesforce1 to easily add innovative services with devices on the IoT.

SIGFOX said in a press release that by providing the large Salesforce1 app-developer community a “simple” means of connecting new applications to the Internet of Things, the new partnership would spur its adoption by the global Salesforce1 community, thus creating a catalogue of IoT apps available from saleforce.com’s AppExchange.

kerensenThe Paris headqartered Kerensen is a salesforce.com Platinum Partner, and helps clients tailor the Salesforce1 Platform for their specific needs with a variety of Cloud-based applications that increase operational efficiency and customer service.

The SIGFOX-Kerensen solution is based on SIGFOX’s two-way IoT-connectivity platform and a “smart connector” developed by Kerensen’s technological solutions center in Tel Aviv, Israel, that connects Salesforce1 applications to SIGFOX’s global network. It allows users to manage data sent or received by the connected objects on the network with any computer or mobile device.

“The smart connector developed by Kerensen within the SIGFOX Ready  certification program simplifies access to the Internet of Things for the large Salesforce1 community,” said Stuart Lodge, SIGFOX’s Executive Vice President of global sales.  “We expect that it will help make salesforce.com’s AppExchange one of the key IoT application catalogues on the market.”

According to Alain Attias, partner and Chief Executive Officer of Kerensen Consulting, the new Kerensen Smart Connector for SIGFOX would help make the world of connected objects more accessible for businesses that use Salesforce1 and the SIGFOX network, giving them a competitive advantage.

The enhanced services will be available to Kerensen’s customers in France, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and other locations served by the SIGFOX network beginning Oct 13.
