One day conference in Switzerland on IoT

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has organised a day long meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on February 18, 2014. The topic of the meeting is: Internet of Things – Trends and Challenges in Standardization.

LOUCHEZAlainThe workshop will be chaired by Alain Louchez from Georgia Tech Center. Alain is the Managing Director of the Center for the Development and Application of Internet of Things Technologies in charge of directing the Internet of Things (IoT)-related development efforts across the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).  He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and the Georgia Tech Lorraine (European campus) Advisory Board.

The one-day seminar will have 5 sessions. These include a session on the status of current and future ITU activities in IoT and associated domains, which will be chaired by Wei Feng, Huawei, China. Speakers in this session include Marco Carugi, China Unicom, China, and
Lee Jun Seob, ETRI, Korea. Other sessions include an introduction to ITU-T FG M2M activities and a worldwide perspective on IoT-related activities from other standards developing organisations.
